i studied SI as a research assistant the entirety of grad school but somehow this book is reaaaally getting to me 😅 two chapters away from the end and i’m burnt out and feeling kinda yucky

please send me mindless fluff book recs. and any spare xanax you have (seriously, nobody will prescribe it to me anymore, i’m dying 😅)

not sure this is the best book to read while i’m in a depressive episode 😅

this is the second book by this author that i’ve read in a row & i’m realizing that it’s often hard to commiserate with characters because holy shit. these books make me feel SO fucking poor. i haven’t had any income for a year + i’m drowning & both books are about affluent girls i might’ve related to otherwise

So far nothing is happening except that every character introduced shakes their fist and says “if only dude dudeson didn’t move in!” Also, I’m 20% in and she hasn’t fed her brother’s cat yet?! Not DNFing until she at least feeds the fucking cat.

I really need the author to explain how the traveling symphony gets new strings for the instruments. How is nobody missing a string yet? And yet she talks about how they’ve used all the rosin? But then someone got new bow hair from a horse? Wha? It wouldn’t make a sound without rosin so, what are you doing? It bugs me so much aaaahfifshsvshshjdifjf

Wow, I really hate this. This is really, REALLY bad. The author wants her to be SO EDGY and SOOO MYSTERIOUS so she beats you over the head with it. If I read something about 'making mountains out of molehills' or LoVes WiTh A FiSt again I'm going to die.
