I love this book so much already, as someone who has read the latest 3 books in the series first. Reynolds' writing is so smart and so information-packed (in exactly the right way for my brain to never feel bored.) It makes each of his books read like a mystery thriller, while excelling at being a high-brow hard-sci-fi world building masterpiece.

Re-reading one of my favourite books of all time.

5 chapters in, I am already so excited for this journey. It feels like I saved this read for this very moment in my current life, like some form of much needed comfort I knew back then I would need in the future.
I love Priest's writing. I missed it greatly.
