not a clue where this book will take me from one page to the next - an absolutely wild experience.

Finished reading the titular story, very good but certain dated language choices make it a bit difficult at times. Thought it was better than the film but only just.

all this flipping back and forth to read the footnotes is no good for my poor little weak wrists - other than that I’m loving this book so far. It’s going to take a while but I’m excited for the journey this book will take me on.

Yes, it’ll probably come at the cost of my reading goal. However, I think DFW would have absolutely abhorred the idea of book goals so I don’t feel even slightly bad about it.

A very bad choice for before bed reading, it’s written in such a way that the suspense will take you into that territory of “wayyyy past my bedtime”
