The Eel Singers by Natasha Pulley.
I’ve read The Watchmaker of Filigree Street but a long time ago so these characters were a little alien to me at first. I loved the haunting singing and Christmas setting. 3.5⭐️

I have no freaking idea what is going on, like at all but it is so compelling. I am so utterly confused and yet unlike Bunny I am invested in finding out what is going on. A missing kid, a guy who is obviously having a psychotic episode, multiple chapters from the POV of a cat…. It’s weird!

Not really feeling the atmosphere- it’s very YA with its influencer storyline and teen characters. It’s sirens/mermaid horror but I’m just not into it

About to start Chapter 3. Not sure what to think so far but I'm not hating it instantly which sometimes happens with classics.

This book is pacy- vampires, humans, a body of a teenage boy with no blood- it’s all kicking off and I am completely absorbed in the storytelling. Why have I put this book off?

After an initial hiccup when starting this book I now feel like I’m finding my feet with the story and the author’s writing style. More enthusiastic about continuing this book now 👍🏻
