The problem with these Emily books is that the character and narrative voice are just so engaging that suddenly it's two hours past your bedtime and you still can't put the book down XD

Mistakes Were Made was amazing! I love Guillerma...and I relate so much to Mundo.

That part just filled me with warm fuzzies of excitement and anticipation.

I love, love, love this version of Starbuck and Ahab. And that battle was epic and heartbreaking all at once.

There is so much joy and memory in this beginning.

Crocheted friendship beanies are the BEST kind of beanies! I love the relationship between Jenny and Sharlotte so much.

From literally laughing out loud to cringing at the hurt these characters are going through in the span of a couple minutes: This took a sudden turn.

And I've forgotten a lot since last time I read it.

The moralizing is a little too in-your-face for my taste, but I keep reminding myself this is a children's book.

That aside: I love ugly, scruffy Lina. And I am biased toward a book that can spend its first chapter mostly describing a mountain.

Starting the audiobook—this story is refreshing.

That is one series of massive improbabilities. I am loving this.

Feeling unprepared because I don't take a towel with me everywhere.

"I didn't get wounded, Crafton."
"What are you talking about?"
"I gave up my heart willingly. I told you I came here for you. I wasn't going to fake it. You deserve more than that."

May I be half as good of a friend as these characters are <3 I am blown away.

"I would never let it happen," Druce said. "And if you really are trapped inside your own mind, fabricating some sort of reality, then you have to trust me all the more. Because I am the one who will fight hardest for you when you cannot fight for yourself."

Excuse me while I cry in a corner.

Having lived with someone with dementia, I assure you that Dawson begins to weave it in with such heartbreaking accuracy in this section.

All my babies are hurting badly and it's so sad, but Gregson and Sutton and Veronica are wonderful friends.

Earlier, Jack and Ludlum ribbing Sutton for his crush on a certain lady was so fun. I love the camaraderie between these characters.

I don't want this series to end :'(

Yes I absolutely forgot that this is the book in which Dawson RIPS MY HEART OUT. I am not okay.

Meeting Druce's family was wonderful (though I'm sure he hated it). I love how Sutton is always there for Logan when she needs him. He is the best pseudo-big brother.

But also, someone really needs to sit Sutton down and give him a talking to. I have a bad feeling he's getting himself into deep trouble.

But ALSO book 1 of this series is on sale right now, friends!!! It's SO GOOD.

The Druce and Logan boat trip was healing for ME, not just for them. And Riley Visit 2.0 is the best.

Druce's wariness around Sutton fills me with so much amusement.

But that library scene—I am always thrilled by how Dawson takes scifi tropes and makes them her own. This was the cutest way to deal with a computer virus that I can imagine.

"Life isn't a game with shortcuts and cheat cards. Sometimes those parts that you ignore and don't want to deal with are the very things that are going to shape your character...I think you hold yourself to an unreasonable standard and that makes you get angry at your weak spots."

Apparently I am Jesse Stevens, because this is way too me.

Also everything has gone crazy and I am here for it.

All these simulations are so cool. And I love getting a deeper insight into Logan's past and heart.

But also things are about to blow up into craziness, and I am not prepared.

Jack's "birthday" party is one of my favorite things. I love how much her team loves her, and how comfortable she is with them. Even though we're getting another hint that things are headed into more conflict around her, I cherish this moment of relaxation and friendship for her.

Also, I'm already feeling the doldrums of knowing I'm going to be finished with this series too soon :'(

Ugh, Logan and Druce are my ultimate OTP.

And I can't even with Crafton and Gregson's friendship <3

I love these characters. And this space station is super cool.

The team bonding and learning to work together for the first time <3 Jack starting to learn she's not alone anymore <3 <3 <3
