FMC too weak/boy hungry. Started promising with her defending herself but she quickly dive bombs into weak “need a husband” Gag. The “cooking challenge”? Ew. No one won in over 10 years?! Come the fuck on. What 18-19 year old can’t fry an egg? It doesn’t have to be Gordon Ramsey level, just editable. Especially if all girls are supposedly raised to expect/look for a husband? As is the way in this world?

I do no like how the FMC is letting the MMC walk all over her. HE DIDNT tell her about the situation. HE hasn’t explained what is expected of her. And yet he gets mad when she doesn’t conform to HIS expectations. And she just swallows it and apologies? No. Absolutely not.
I was already ready to DNF earlier in the book but I’m done. Grow a backbone, FMC!
