How can you ever finish reading a book like this? I mean, you can read up to the last page, but can you ever finish reading it?

The storytelling style is similar to that of The Great Gatsby and The Secret History, a (plain) loner protagonist who has a weak bond with his own family, gets enamored by a group (in this case, family) of people and forms a strong bond with them. Like the other books, here too much of the story is told from a very observant, fly-on-the-wall perspective.
And the writing style is delicious.

I really want to dnf this book. There's no nuance, no depth. Boring cliched characters, bland writing style.

#1 Taxi wallah
This story is a journey into Dhaka, with the observant Taxi wallah as our guide. He knows all the worlds that live alongside each other in the Capitol City. He knows about the world of the brothels, the slums, the world of the babus who live in brick mansions. He also knows his white passengers better than they think.
It's a perfect gateway story into Numair's Dhaka.

Reads like the author tried too hard and not at all at the same time.
