It’s amazing how at peace Lennon is in his life.

I’ll complete this Thursday or Friday. Despite a lack of narrative, this has been a pleasure to get some insight.

I love the details about the making of Double Fantasy. These are the kinds of details that don’t find there way in most biographies about musicians.

Despite no true direct narrative - though one is definitely been forming - I’m enjoying this little ride through Lennon’s final year and more.

Got through far more today than I ever would have guessed.

Both organized and disorganized simultaneously

Loved hearing snippets of unfinished songs, knowing full well what those snippets later became.

I’ve said countless times that I disliked when books have multiple POV’s. This is different. I feel like this is more of a story within a framework story. And two different time-frames. So I’m quite good with this so far.

It’s obvious the two stories will eventually converge. But this is not the same as some of the books I’ve been vocal against before.

Dull start, with a lot of info about the Dakota. But we are merely setting a stage.

Almost done! Less than 30 minutes in the audiobook. Will finish tonight. Not sure my complete opinion yet. I guess I’ll know after the final 2 chapters.

My getting through almost half the book in about 24 hours does not accurately indicate my impressions of the book. It would appear that I’d be loving it but the truth is …. It’s merely OK so far.

Multiple POV a characters and the narrator doesn’t have any voice inflections to indicate different characters.

So far, disappointed.
