You know, there’s something about a surgical procedure you’ve had being described as similar to one of those arcade claw machine games is… interesting, to say the least. Fascinating, but kinda gross

“Puss-in-Boots” is already entertaining and hilarious, but the fact that Puss is described as looking pretty much exactly like one of my cats who is… let’s just say not the brightest, adds a whole nother layer of comedy for me.

Well, I would like to escape from this book. Should’ve noticed when my instinctual reaction to the writing by page one was “Christ I hope the whole book isn’t written like this.” Far as I can tell, it is. Also, the characters kinda suck, and not even in a fun way. They’re pretty awful and unsympathetic, not to mention boring

Well I knew what the main character's true identity was from like. The very beginning of the book, and even though it hasn't been explicitly stated in here yet, Sal's journey with her sense of self is really well written. It's such a unique conflict and I love the way it's done here

Mira Grant and Alien? Yes please

I don't think I've actually read a Dieselpunk book... ever? But I'm definitely already very into this

I'm so... conflicted. On one hand, I love it when younger authors get a chance to put their stuff out their and get published. On the other, I'm... not a huge fan of this so far. I want to like this, especially since it sent me down an hour long anxiety spiral about my own writing quality, but I'm struggling with that a bit.
