I'm so confused about this history. Not really worried about it, but I'm not following.

What is with not bathing before relations? I get sweat, sure. But blood and reaper grossness? Take 10 minutes.

Just when I was going to complain that the dungeon scenes are lacking.

Wilder's time line isn't clear. He's known the Rebels for years but he said the reason he didn't tell Thea was because he wasn't sure of something he had to confirm, but idk what that was. When did he them?

Appearantly I sound out words while I'm reading and warsword is really hard for me to read like it would be for me to say it.

I don't like the switch to "sweetheart"

I think maybe she's dressed now.

Still waiting for Poppy to actually put real clothes on.

What a crazy ride. Just when you think you have some idea of the players and the plot and the goals, there's another layer.

Much more prolific use of the f word so far.

I'm bored

Not really digging this one. Hard to tell what's going on. Even the characters don't understand. When they ask questions about how something works or why something happens, they immediately say "I don't care". Curious how it'll right itself in the end, but won't reread.

Its a nit, but I wish she'd put the character perspective before each section. It takes 2 paragraphs to adjust.

I'm counting on the remainder of the series being better and hoping this is an early novel for her. There's something missing from the character development and their relationships. I'm reading it but I don't feel it. Who should I like? Dislike? Should I be scared? Curious? Sense a bigger story?

So long. Interesting perspective, but oh so long and drawn out.

So sad and upsetting and boring till 29%. You'd think it would be interesting, given the subject, but it was just boring and really sad. Now only half the chapters are boring.

Why is every single person in this book bi?

I need to take a break for a day. Pretty sure this series hadn't made me cry before. Damn.

Like this one much better than the last 2. I'm a sucker for friendship stories. I'm not sure if I like Sevro or Cassius more.

That said, I feel like there are some plot lines we're never going back to.

Part 2 was brutal.

First 20% is preamble and catchup. Next 15% is nothing good.

Have taken a break for a while. Nothing ever comes to any kind of resolution. Thinking the series is too long. I've long lost track of several plot lines.

176 occurrences of the word "sweat" in the book. Seems excessive and now I can't not notice.

Other than references to the heat, not really sure if anything has actually happened yet.

Holy shit there's a lot of talk about sweat. And people "not reacting to the heat" or some such bullshit. Like they aren't sweating. So no matter a person's perspiration level, it must be discussed.

Passes the time. But when a main character dies and you don't feel anything it's not that great. I'm not rooting for anyone. I'm not sure I even like any of the characters. They just all wander from place to indisinguishable place forever. I don't remember where they came from, where they're going, what mission they're on, anything. It's just circles. No beginning and no end.
