I’m struggling a bit because while there is a lot I like this book is way too drawn out. There is an immense amount of downtime and at this point he’s extremely mean to her 98% of the time but she’s still sleeping with him. I get why he’s doing and it’s unnecessary there are better ways kinder ways.

I need to DNF right now but I feel like I’m not going to 😫 This started out so good then the little errors kept piling up. The author is trying for a whole epic fantasy and it is far beyond their capabilities.

Are you freaking kidding me they still aren’t going to have sex! WTF! this is just stupid every line this guy crosses but anything less then 100% fully sober consent is where he draws his line. I’m so over this.

May DNF this book, it is falling flat the author keeps asking for things they haven’t earned. There are facts she tells you about the character not actual character development. The FMC was seven when her mother ran with her and she has way too many memories and feelings for having been so young. The absurdity and plot holes are ginormous.

Didn’t realize this was huge world building trilogy. I stupidly assumed it was interconnected SA. This was really working for me how awhile. Then it’s not really going anywhere. Then there’s a MM scene which in addition to not being my thing felt really out of place. Now I am staring to realize how extremely juvenile all the characters are. There is a difference between primal/feral and juvenile.

I finally figured out why everything seemed so familiar. This was an author I decided to stop trying after many failed attempts and one that I got through but never connected with. The author added a space to their pen name to sell this under another name and I feel deceived because I was. This book isn’t given be a reason to DNF so continuing for now but my expectations have plummeted.

Ex2. They are sitting down to eat at his house and her heat starts to come on. After they satisfy her enough for her to eat something before full heat hits, he orders food for them like the meal they literally just sat down to eat had disappeared

Some of the bad writing is getting to me.
Ex1. He convinces her to accept a ride home with Tacos and the whole exchange is giving the impression he’s going with her. Then inexplicably he doesn’t go with her and there are no tacos. Next chapter he again tempts her with Mexican food but it’s like it’s the first time he’s done like he didn’t already tell her about his favorite Mexican food truck

He shredded her panties and undies (something the author goes into great detail about so you know these are now in ribbons), and afterwards she gets dressed (in what?!) and goes home?!?!?!

So I may DNF. Based on book 3 I was expecting FMC to be young and innocent so imagine my surprise when the author switched her out for her 32yo man hating viper aunt. Honestly just not my type of FMC. I also had reservations on Spider/Home MMC and he hasn’t proven those reservations wrong yet.

I love this author but a prologue plus four chapters setting the book up is ridiculous and extremely unnecessary and the information is repetitive. This needs to get moving soon especially since it’s a novella

~60% they finally got married they did not have sex they went to third base ugh. This book has practically no spice.

This is not what I wanted but it’s pretty good I’m pausing though because it’s really not what I was looking for annoying because I was very specific about what I wanted and this was recommended

Really good but not in the right mood. I wasn’t really feeling the characters Lake isn’t possessive enough and Dylan is a little too damsel in distress. However, I am staring to become a fan and get into this. The first spicy scene was great. Pausing because I’m in the wrong mood for this book and I think if I was in right mood I would be loving it.

WTF with the hair clips?! Seriously it’s gotten beyond annoying. Why clips? ever heard of hair ties and messy buns? Then it’s like she can’t stand to have her hair down without the clips, but somehow manages to loose them all the time without noticing. This is mentioned so much it becomes incredibly annoying. Clearly the author has a very unhealthy obsession with hair clips and needs to seek professional help.

I love this book but ultimately the main link is not my kink so I may DNF this one 😞

Just now realizing this is an incomplete trilogy ugh this has been decent but I don’t believe there’s enough here for a trilogy

50% this book is going in the wrong direction there is a lot of good here but I can tell the author is getting too heavy one the world building and it’s distracting and detracting from what’s good

Chapter 16 needs some serious editing. Most of the book is fine with just the occasional slip but this chapter is almost unreadable.

So tried the sample 10% in and he still hasn’t met the girl. There is a hope that this would get better if I pay the $10 purchase price but that’s a lot of money for something I might not read. I remember loving Tangled by his author and that it grabbed me from the beginning and the meet cute happened almost right away. There is a lot going on in the first 10% of this book and it’s almost entirely unnecessary.

WARNING! These are not complete stories. Each story in here is the first book in a duet or trilogy. This seriously pissed me off because it’s not mentioned or alluded to (ex. Cliffhanger warning) in the description. I was expecting short steamy retellings and that is definitely not this.
