I have to admit, I'm struggling with this one. It's well written, some truly lovely prose actually.... but I was honestly expecting a steamy romance and at 20% it's really just a Peter Pan retelling where Wendy (who is the Jill in the title I think) is still a child or VERY young teenager. It's weird because I usually prefer YA-ish retellings to steamy romance but the gap with my expectations is a little jarring?

This is a reeeeeallllllly slow burn! Not sure yet if that’s a good thing or a bad thing (I do like slow burns), but it is definitely a thing of some sort!

This book is .... bizarre. And I don't really mean that as a compliment or as an insult, just as a descriptor. I'm enjoying it. And it's obviously MEANT to be bizarre? But it is. Really. Bizarre. :)
