I did enjoy this book of 3 narratives of the Weyward women in different time periods. The writing was good and I really enjoyed the stories of Altha and VIolet, my issue that the story of Kate was so predictable. I understand the love for this novel and it was entertaining and readable, but I kept comparing it to the "Practical Magic" series and IMHO, in the end, I found the Kate's story wanting some originality.

Wonderful sweet no-murder mystery from Prose. Delightful love between Molly and Juan at Christmas.

Set on a work farm prison, the tale of a lifer and a young man sent up for manslaughter. The unusual friendship begins over the beautiful guitar the young prisoner brings with him as the reader is drawn into the narrative and the sway the music that he plays brings light and hope to the other prisoners. In the end, the boy is the user and leaves his friend behind in their daring escape.

A classic for a reason!

I always worry about the first sequel to a really good, successful fiction novel. The Housemaid's Secret did not disappoint!
Just as good as the first book and I am looking forward to the next installment. Millie is my new favorite troublefinder and troublemaker!

I've been homebound since Monday. I just finished my last library book. Another storm is on the way this afternoon. I much prefer holding and turning pages, but e-books will do fine in a pinch to avoid any no-book anxiety!

I bought this on a bookbub $.99 special. So far, it is absolutely delightful!

I worked on this for 3 weeks before the loan expired and it got e-yanked. I've placed another hold because I do want to finish it.

Completely hooked!

It's due back to the library today, so I'll finish it at lunch. I'm so disappointed.

I loved "Middlesex" so much and I am surprised how exhausting this novel is for me. I am really having to push myself through it right now in the hopes that it will be worth the extra effort.
