Loving this! Can’t quite put my finger on why but I can’t put it down!! The audiobook is just fantastic and I think it helps the format. Not sure how I’d feel if I wasn’t listening along with the hardback

I am 261 pages in and still can’t understand why people are obsessed with this book. 🫤 it’s so incredibly slow and drawn out. The only saving grace is the dual narration in the audiobook. I don’t know if I would have gotten this far if I wasn’t immersive reading. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Why are people sleeping on this story?? It’s so great and for a debut novel it is absolutely impressive. It has everything a Romantasy should have minus the spice but that doesn’t mean it’s not swoony. It’s flows nicely, the banter is great. Laurendi knew what story she wanted to tell and she executed this story so wonderfully!

I’m finding that this book, while should be a positive one, is annoying AF. It feels like a chore now because the author IMO is a little out of touch with reality and the guidance she offers can in fact have the opposite effect on the reader, leaving them depressed. It’s obvious the author at the time of writing was probably very well off. That’s the vibe it gives just from reading in between her lines.

Great world & character building. Love Laurendi’s writing style.

Thoroughly enjoying this read! The audiobook is a great accompaniment to the book! Our main protagonist is quite unhinged but strangely “familiar” and relatable! The dedication of the book is perfection and holds a lot of weight “For the girls who turned breadcrumbs into cake” . So far this is a 4 star read for me!

Fun, easy read so far. Didn’t expect much else. The more Freida books I read, the more I can figure out what may happen.

Thoroughly enjoyed this series. As heartbreaking as it is, and even if it’s fictionalized, it is very powerful . This one in particular is a smart one, having it be from three different perspectives, 3 of her children. The book sheds light on how the ripple effects are in full force . I’d like to finish this tonight…

Loving this series. Such a hard yet easy read and a quick one too…ignore the page numbers because words on each page range from 20 words to like 100. Hopkins writes a powerful story…glad I finally dived into this after it sitting on my TBR shelf for the last year.

This book is incredibly powerful. It’s infuriating on so many levels. So far this is up there on the “every teen” needs to read this list. Let’s see how this book and the other books go but so far pages 1-169 are great!
