I'm sorry, but like.... isn't his voice in his/ her head the same as his actual voice? This is really dumb and I need this part to go by really fast because it aggravates me

I honestly cannot stand this book. I wish I was willing to quit and not finish the remaining 38%.....

Only 5% in and I'm legit cackling SO LOUD. I will be shocked if this doesn't end up 4 stars +

Generally not my kind of read - insofar as the characters, while clearly having had various struggles, are like... so far, a bit too....twee? I don't think I find Bo boring because I'm a cynic and think that such a perfect person can't actually exist, I just find that.... he doesn't seem to have much to his character except always having the perfect, most desired answer for everything.

I'm really enjoying this FMC so far

Uuuuuggghhh this character is less dumb than the one in The Love Hypothesis, but why is she still holding on to the idea that whatshisface hates her? It is completely illogical and this extremely irritating.

Already one of the most beautiful books I've ever read

Ok my bad. He flew in from Ireland. But this has been driving me crazy since like 30 pages ago. Yes, I could have assumed he must have been in the UK or Ireland or something, but I guess that tells you how much faith I have in the author or their editor.......and idk if that is founded or unfounded, since this is only the 3rd book I've ever read by this author

I continue to be distracted by the fact that Conor supposedly made it from the US to Edinburgh, Scotland in 3 hours-ish. No matter how rich you are, that's literally impossible and it's driving me CRAZY....

Enjoying this quite a bit, even though I seriously wanted to throw the book across the room at this line:

"It's incredible what you can hear when someone says something into a speaker."

Is that so?? Because I'm pretty sure the MAN WHO WORKS AT A RADIO STATION would know that no one heard anything you might say into a speaker....

I think you mean MICROPHONE 🫠

I'm not loving it so far. Two things that irritate me:

1. "'Navri means bride in Marathi', Sak explains to Krish, who nods in that well-meaning way polite people do when presented with a foreign concept." WHAT IS THE FOREIGN CONCEPT HERE???

2. Mira is apparently a "pain whisperer" and I feel like she'll never freaking stop telling as much.

I keep reading "Not Hellie" as "Hot Nellie" 😆

I'm very bored.

Way too many parenthetical asides - it's definitely a thing T. Kingfisher likes to do, but it gets irritating to have it 4th wall broken like that constantly. They don't add anything and just end up making some of her main characters across stories seem basically the same.

Making my way towards the end of the book, but of course, no where near the end of the story - I'm so glad that I pre-ordered the pretty edition from Barnes and Noble - this definitely is going on my BEST OF THE BEST shelf *^-^*

Oh man, what a bummer T-T

What I thought would galen once I began to read this book has indeed happened - that is to say, I can't put it down!!!

WOAH. I see what you did there, Sabaa Tahir - and holy guacamole, now I feel like I need to go back and reread EVERYTHING!

Oh aye, very predictable approach to solving the problem, but that's not to say I wasn't kind of gleeful about it anyway ;D

Trying not to devour this book, but also wanting to finish before release day, which is like T minus 4 days!

I'm just saying, maybe when an offer like that is on the table, you should be thinking a little more critically about who is actually making it.....
