The picture of "the governess and the wicked fae..." the FMC exoticization of the fae is really bothering me and I'm not even that far in - is there going to be, like, a redemption arc? I....did the author not read their own work and hear how it sounds? It's reading privileged white girl writes a romance novel full of stereotypes about a different ....erm....group of people...is this like inception?

Oh yiiiiiiikes. The FMC wrote a book about a human and fae couple, yet admits she didn't know anything about the fae before writing it, or even before going to the place wherever she is?

And she wonders to herself if a fae in the shape of a pine marten would be offended if she asked to pet them....


Good lord....i got the ick already....we'll see how far I make it.
