I don't like the main characters. They're pissing me off.

Enjoying this so far, I'm certainly intrigued.
The question here is, will I be able to finish this in 2025 -aka in 4 days- while the deadline of my research proposal looms dangerously close -6 days- and my 55-minute-long book vlog is patiently tapping its foot waiting to be edited?
Hmmm... I think no need to panic!

This is the first of Christie's novels that I read written in the first-person point of view- besides her memoir which I'm also currently listening to- and it's making the book read so modern.

I was not planning to annotate, but I encountered some phrases that caught my eye and changed my mind.

There are some lines in this that just HITTTT

The Arabic translation is so strong too. I have to sear three words per page at least.

(I say the translation is very strong because the usual translation of western literature- or at least in my experience- is somewhat an Americanized Arabic. But this is not and I love it for that. If you know, you know.)

I am enjoying his work much more through audio than I did reading the physical copy.
So far it is really good.

Picked this up so randomly- I thought to give it away but I opened it and saw the large welcoming font and the very wonderful paper and decided to read it first.

Either way, I've read a couple of the stories so far, and though they're not remarkable, I'm glad to be reading something light- or as light as Murakami can get.

Exam week is maybe the worst period of time for everyone, but especially readers. Because tell me why my desire for reading has sky-rocketed, but my ability to actually read- because I have to focus on studying- has plummeted???
