A third of the way in, and I’m kind of bored. I understand where the characters are, but have no good idea why they stay. The flashbacks don’t move quick enough, and there’s all this emotion I can objectively appreciate, but I’m not connected to it. At this point, I’m more frustrated with the narrator than sympathetic.
