Buddy reading this with mami is so damn fun.

Last week to finish this buddy read!

It's been a busy day but the little time I had to focus on this, wow! I love the writing, the emotions and the literal comparisons to Whiskey. The timelime romances are only good when written right and so far, this is written right!

Our book club pick of the month.

Audiobook of the week.

I don't know, but my interest is no longer being held by this book, sadly.
There's inconsistency with the characters, and even though I specifically wanted to read this because it was being compared to CC, this just feels way too similar for me to ignore.

I know CC isn't the only urban fantasy out there with the same premise. It's just way too similar. I did enjoy the pages I read. I am just not interested anymore

Reading this because it keeps getting compared to Crescent City, and I am all for an urban fantasy with the same premise.

Going into this blind with no expectations.

I'm too far in to dnf... this has been such a drag, I am bored.

I feel like the plot is pretty clear, but this feels like 3 different books in one, and I am not sure what to think of it...

And now to finish the last of this book for my buddy reads discussion tomorrow. This book was dragged out so much, im not even sure how I will rate this.

Audiobook of the week. Needing a refresher before continuing this series.

The only time I have to read during the week is before bed, and it always leads to me being sleep deprived at work... anyways, this book is so damn good. I'm not sure if it's me being in an amazing mood, but all the books I have read this month are bangers!

Keri Lake's writing always has me on a damn chokehold. Already know this is a 5 star read.
