I found out it was originally a dramione fic. Ugh. That taints everything. Also, it really slowed down from the fast-paced beginning. I'm ready for something interesting to happen.
Why are all these books 500-700 pages? There is so much filler!

Can I be done yet? I want to finish but I'm not really enjoying this.

Oh boy, was the first 30ish% slow. But now it's picked up and I'm hooked.

It's so slow. I really hope it picks up soon.

The narrator does a good job, but there are some words I can't quite figure out, and that's solely down to the accent. The book is okay, but I find Nara a bit annoying. So far, it's been easy to put down; it doesn't have a real grip on me. However, I still want to know what happens, and it's not at risk of a DNF.

It's entertaining but there are times when I'm confused by what's happening. Time gets confused very easily because of how it is written.

The jumps in time are confusing. Not sure about this writing.

It's good but it's also so easy to put down and not pick back up. I'm glad it's short because it's taking me forever.

So far so good. I like Eveen but she definitely doesn't feel 30ish. She doesn't have memories so maybe that's the reason. I'm not sure but she definitely feels early to mid 20s.

Ashâke seems much younger than 22. I know she’s sheltered but she’s acting like she’s 16 or 17. Also, some word usage seems off. “Cool her ass” being one of them.

173 pages in we get a sudden pov switch. Weird.

Slow to start and easy to put down. I still enjoy the story so far. Skedi and my feelings towards gods are complicated. It's an interesting feeling since I don't know who to root for.

There are two POVs but you don’t hear much from Shaw. It feels like there needs to be more Shaw to balance Rosy or no Shaw at all. The Shaw chapters are important info but this is basically Rosy’s story so they almost feel out of place.
Both narrators are good and they haven’t thrown me out of the story so that’s nice. I have no idea how some of these names are spelled since I only have audio.

Why do I love this? It’s typical YA but I’m enjoying it immensely.

So far so good. Interesting magic and world though I’d like more explanation. Hopefully that will happen throughout. Slightly slow first couple chapters but picked up pretty quickly. Standard YA so far.

I guess I'm taking a break to catch up on my Netgalley books. I will come back because I love this series.

This book is good but it's just getting started. This is one of those books where I want to read the last chapter and then continue reading.
