So far so good. Interesting magic and world though I’d like more explanation. Hopefully that will happen throughout. Slightly slow first couple chapters but picked up pretty quickly. Standard YA so far.

There are two POVs but you don’t hear much from Shaw. It feels like there needs to be more Shaw to balance Rosy or no Shaw at all. The Shaw chapters are important info but this is basically Rosy’s story so they almost feel out of place.
Both narrators are good and they haven’t thrown me out of the story so that’s nice. I have no idea how some of these names are spelled since I only have audio.

Why do I love this? It’s typical YA but I’m enjoying it immensely.
