I don't think I have ever felt compelled to leave an update on a book part way through... but the way Brad Fox has just put aside his admiration for Beebe's work to spend a chapter just absolutely decimating him for being a racist! Amazing work!

I'm learning a lot, and listening to a lot of music that I don't feel cool enough to listen to. I love how queer and feminist this book is.

One page in and I'm already angrily reading the Wikipedia entry on the Prison-Industrial Complex and finding Prison Abolition activists to follow on Twitter.
