I’ve come to realize that Dain is like the annoying boyfriend from a teen movie who’s trying to control the FMC and it’s pissing me off. He needs to chill the hell out and let Violet be a grown woman who can make her own decisions!

In love with this book so far. Already know there’s going to be a love triangle in this book. I can smell it from Dain’s jealousy over the sexual tension between Violet & Xaden. Aside from the romance & slow burn of it all, it is written in a way where my small, ADHD brain can keep up. Action from Vi’s training and her mental battle with running away or staying in Riders Quadrant makes me want to read more.

Making a separate post about “Shithead”. Aaron’s jealousy and asshole-ness can be overbearing at times. Reminds me so much of my ex and how manipulative he could be to me just so he could get his way or make himself seem superior. When, in reality, I was the better person. I’m way smarter than him, and so out of his league. Aaron belittles strong women who could outdo him in the one thing he’s good at.

So far, I enjoy Stasi’s and Nate’s banter, and that Stasi is playing hard to get with Nate. I’m listening to the audiobook, so it’s even better hearing the voices. It makes it 10x funnier during their bantering, and I end up laughing and smiling to myself. I probably seem like a weirdo at work when I do but thankfully I’m in the kitchen washing dishes in my little corner lol
