Pushing through

I am not, and have never been, a fan of the FMC, Zora, and this book has honestly pissed me off more than I expected it to.

I do love the MC, Sazha, aka Tarantula, and honestly, he is the only reason I’m finishing it.

I’m sad to say I’m starting to lose interest in this one. I just don’t feel the connection between Mische and Asar anymore, and Asar’s character doesn’t feel like the same person he was in the previous book. It’s making it really hard for me to stay invested.

I may have spoken too soon about Mische. She’s hard for me to connect with, and I feel like her character lacks depth. Meanwhile, Asar has layers, depth, and an actual personality that I’m invested in. I can’t help but feel like he settled for her because of his lack of outside exposure. No hate, but I just feel like he could find a better match.

I am really not a fan of the FMC, and the utter fascination all the men have with her is starting to drive me crazy. Her constant lies and selfish decisions, which should absolutely not be tolerated, are somehow always excused, while she continues to be portrayed as this caring, loving, selfless person. It’s beyond annoying at this point. I find myself having to push through this book.

Not happy about this. Not at all.

I like Arachessen.

Okay, I like where this is going. Starting to get invested. Was a bit worried because I was not getting into it.

It's official, I do not like the FMC at all.

Really like the premise of this book, very Handmaid's Tale, but I am slowly starting to dislike the FMC.
