AHHHHHHHH

this could not take LONGER to get to my house… it was supposed to be delivered dayssss ago. i’ve been waiting so long😭🥲

ooooh girlllll… i am SO excited for this romance. i did NOT know beforehand this was a dark romance? ig we’ll see how that goes

i rly should focus on finishing my other books, unfortunately i was craving jegulus

very very fitting for the last lines of the introduction to be: You already know the story. You will die. Everyone you love will also die. You will lose them forever. You will be sad and angry. You will weep. You will pray. It will make no difference. Nothing you can do will bring them back. You know this. This poem will make you understand this unfathomable truth again and again, as if for the very first time.

stunning

rereadingggg

i should NAWT have started this book. i have so many other books i need to finish ah-Moon Water-hem🫪 and thank god i was warned ahead of time about “my eyes went anime-wide” or else it would’ve been dropped right then and there. i’m giving it a chance okay 🤷‍♀️

i’m having the worst second hand embarrassment from her paranoia

rin stop. stop. RIN. RIN NO. SAY YOURE KIDDING. rf kuang i hate you. you’re so mean. say it’s a joke. wtf. this isn’t okay. no more. HAPPY ENDING, RIGHT?!?! RIGHT!?!?!!!!

i’ve had some pretty crazy fan fictions out there, so I don’t know why this one scares me so bad… I guess we’ll see how it goes though🤷‍♀️

i’m starting to suspect it was a really good idea to start with Ali Hazelwood through this book, i actually really like it? maybe i will give another of hers a chance?

kitay nooooo

this whole part about the new city and the Hesperian culture shock is just written so well… I keep thinking that RF Kuang is secretly a god at writing because it is so good

alright. okay. you got me. it’s cute.

i totally forgot this was gonna be a fake dating trope, we’re a quarter through and they haven’t even started dating yet? can we pick it up just a wee bit?

oh girllll whatttt “some chick”??? LMFAO OKAY KING WHAT

lynn, girl, i love you but “I loved Sarah and hugged her back so hard.” is not it. we can write better—i know we can 🤞
