I don't want to finish it, I need a 2000-page version of this.

Book 2 covers Baldwin’s young adult days to his thirties, between Paris and New York. We can guess how he struggled with his romantic relationships from his works. Also, how his financial struggles follow him as a new writer even after Giovanni’s Room.

Maybe because I have heard/seen many artists' journeys by now, this part felt underwhelming. I'm looking forward to learning more about his days in İstanbul.

Started successfully; the first book felt like Baldwin was sitting next to me, explaining his childhood as much as he could remember, felt natural. Book 2 is continues with his days in Paris, time for a break.

Loving it so far, this would be such a good play.

Well, he's still got it, another simple page-turner. Although the stakes feel so low - the American citizen armour is so strong, I don't feel much excitement. Good for spending time during train rides.

So far, so good. I enjoy a different approach to human behavioural psychology. It's been a while since I've read non-fiction on this. Not to mention, I keep noticing examples from parents around me.
