This book is incredibly slow moving. It took forever just to get to the mystery part and there’s way too much time spent on the MC’s new life in the country. Of which he is way too proud and self-satisfied about. I’m not sure I totally buy his character either. It’s a little too far fetched, the way he so completely ditches everything about modern life. His life before wasn’t that bad!
