Listening for symposium

I'm shocked to say I'm struggling with this one. The timeline with the Salem witch trials feels so dark and oppressive...there is no joy in this book so far at all. I just don't really want to pick it up very often 😭

I'm about ready to give up. I am just so so incredibly bored. What a high rating! I don't know what I am missing, but it seems the same point is being driven home over and over again. Trying one more time, and then blessing and releasing 😂

I'm listening to this in the spare windows of time I have and God is using it greatly to encourage and convict. So far I highly recommend! Reminds me of Sally Clarkson, but a bit more straight to the point.

3rd times a charm! After 2 DNFs I finally found one I'm into!

I'll confess to not enjoying this as much as I thought I would. So far. I am always wary of female co-authored books because of the wordiness. I'm left feeling like Kevin from the Office, "why say many words when few words do trick?" 😂 we'll see.

Look at me actually reading a book! Tbh Jim and Betty annoy me but I'm sticking with it 😂

In a relationship when truth is manipulated, denied, or partially omitted for the sake of covering up behaviors that should be addressed, dysfunctions may not just be difficult, they may become destructive. We then run the risk of a pattern of wrongs being tolerated as acceptable, because over time they start to feel less alarming, more acceptable, and eventually our version of “normal.”

Really love her thoughts on access. Maybe conflating scripture? but the importance of limiting access from toxic individuals still stands...

Thoroughly enjoying this book and so far highly recommend!!!

Enjoying this so much on audio. Ridiculously encouraging and lovingly convicting. Relatable, love it!

Not loving it but for some reason I'm committing to finishing it. It gives off Wodehouse vibes without the craft of Wodehouse.

Absolutely not. DNF. It is unimaginable to me why there would ever need to be so many references to dogs going potty or tinkling or you name it. And I even have a dog 😂 nope
