blimey it's getting tense. but then our 17 year old protagonist will say something like 'holy pepperoni' and im out of the zone again i know it was written in 2012 but im not convinced it was the correct choice tonally

there's no stopping me once i decide i want to read a million books. also im a baby and i've had to stop reading before it gets too scary and i can't sleep.
for real this is a book for teenagers and im worried about losing sleep

i skimmed one (1) page because it was all lydgate and bulstrode and all of a sudden this is a murder book?!!

THE YEARNING OH MY
so glad that will and dodo bookended this section because the middle bit was so unbelievably boring

it's getting busy now! also i just have to say how much i love ladislaw, he likes funny looking children and when he goes round to someone's for tea he'll lie down flat on their rug by the fire what a guy

hoping that all of these references to casaubon's illness and his will are foreshadowing our dorothea as a widow. he sucks

missed a day yesterday because i did ok? love mary garth more of her please - and the randomer borthrop trumbull (mostly because of his excellent name and his penchant for a little snack, me too pal)

no more of the boring doctor man please, plenty of Dodo and Ladislaw should do the trick (or Rosy and Mary Grant i love those gals too)

'a great bladder for dried peas to rattle in' boom roasted

20 pages in and a Wilberforce reference? My kinda book

dearie me

i sure hope nothing bad happens to these boys.........

some pretty wonderful and extremely specific similes - it makes up for the millions of names (though my guy Deiphobus made an appearance, friends call me Phobi - that's a vintage horrible histories reference for anyone who gets it)

so many names 🫠

i keep forgetting who's trojian and who's greek but other than that i'm having a whale of a time

next time i know someone who's having a baby i'll just recommend the end of book 2 - absolutely too many names in that i will not remember a single one

ok the sound of music essay made it worth the £15 i spent on this book (i didn't realise it was £15 until i took it to the till and then i was too late)

i think sometimes i need to remember that not every short story collection is going to be like A Glove Shop in Vienna - in fact none of them come close.... it's a lesson i'm learning

j'aime beaucoup un petit livre

just seen something that argued lizzy shows Pride and darcy shows Prejudice and i'm... can't believe i've never thought of it the other way round before

perhaps the longest its ever taken me to read p&p take me back to the times i could read anything i wanted in a day or two

i have no time at all to read (haven't read a book since the start of october) but i've been watching Anne With An E clips and i really just need some Anne time

This book is so old it smells really bad 😭 really not motivating me to read it

Reading this book at 20 past 11 and grinning to myself like some sort of dumb fool. Also I love this book so much I think if one wanted to understand me as a person one would have to read this book.
