This book is amazingly well written. The use of each characters voice and the way the author shows time elapse is stunning. While this book centers on racial issues of inequality, I, as a white woman, feel safe reading this book.

It is a bit outdated, as it was written in 2011. But it brings up good points on what is wrong with the American Higher Education system today
