A story so naturally told that you are almost led to believe everything that is written in it. The narrator, Lucy, effortlessly takes the reader within a world of humans and vampires as well as few other worldly beings, making it seem entirely natural for us to take it for granted that vampires do exist.
An interesting storyline of deceit and greed leading to murder, with a surprising twist at the end.

monacia williams is finished with Never Mess with Mistletoe (Leigh Koslow Mystery, #10)
I enjoyed reading this book. I was actually reading a Leigh Koslow mystery for the first time, but this did not affect the story and I did not at anytime feel that pieces of the book were missing.
The mystery was not so much Leigh's as it was her daughter Allison's since she provided all the pieces for the solution. The story offered a sense of what we would all want family to be, loving, Sharon and caring.

This was really not that much of a mystery, there are no murders but there was a missing pumpkin. It was not a bad storyline but the cat was an overkill, he just would not stop talking. I got to the point where since I wanted to finish the book I just had to read around Leo's contribution to the dialogue.

Very light story that would have best suited a novella, extended by the unbelievably slow revelation of Alice's past life. Fairly interesting characters,

An enjoyable read. Great characters, the elderly neighbours certainly add charm to the story, add to this an excellent main character in Kit. Also included was an atypical detective in Romeo who certainly made a difference to the flavour of the story.
Interesting story line of a hidden corpse and disappearing characters. Go ahead and read.

Enthralling, easy to ride, wonderful sense of humour. Excellent, strong characters. Joey is easy to love, Caphy, even easier, Hal, engaging. The book started off mildly with some humorous moments that lightened the scenes but then the plot deepened, adding to the drama and excitement. Once you have adjusted to this your enjoyment of the story will continue.
I could not stop reading.

I liked this book. Interesting characters, witches blending in with the normals, and not allowed to display their powers in public. Mag and Clara doing their best to keep wayward Hagatha in check.
It was an easy read because the storyline was interesting and the dialogue flowed.

All the books in first in the series were good. I had read the first two previously but I reread them and I enjoyed them as much as I did when I read them for the first time. Meeting Pepper, Olivia, Hamburger and Alex for the final book was delightful and I enjoyed that book as well.
A few hours well spent. Nice, clean , readable fun.

In the midst of the chaos of the story, there were good characters, instances of good humor and a fairly good storyline. Good interactions between characters even between divorced Zach and Molly, however, the, at times, irrational behaviour of Molly and Anne, irritated.

Interesting story, many things to like, a few not to like. I liked Fenway but, speaking from the perspective of one who shares her racial identity, I did not like her being ready to share the Sheriff's bed.
Good, strong characters Dez was a favourite. Good storyline, kept me guessing and interesting, many twists and turns to a surprising end. Well worth the read.

monacia williams is finished with A Brazen Curiosity (Beatrice Hyde-Clare Mysteries, #1)
Yes, the book is a stand alone in that the murder being investigated is solved, but Beatrice's story is definitely not at its end. That was a disappointment. Other than that, the story of Beatrice's discovery of herself and her talents was interesting and often times humorous. So, it made for good reading, I couldn't wait to find out what she was going to do next.

Whimsical, humorous, exciting are some of the adjectives that I am using to describe this book.
Wonderful characters, Lady Pheobe is a charmer, so is Andrew. A wonderful mix of old world concepts and norms with new world behavior.
Lovely read, it was difficult to put down.
