I'm really enjoying the story so far but the characters ages jump without warning sometimes. I have noticed dates at the top of each chapter so I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be a heads up about that.

So far Zuma is on my nerves and I'm hoping that changes. Also, combat sense as an excuse to understand and read emotions isn't something I can seem to get behind. Also every time the characters do something that as a reader we already know why or understand doesn't need to be explained over and over. We know Finley has super speed so every time he moves fast it doesn't need to be mentioned that its bc of his speed.

So far I'm liking what I"m reading.....I'm intrigued to find out more about Finley and his true mission at the circus....only complaints so far is that some of the wording seems jumbled or said more than what is necessary. However, it doesn't happen often at all so it's probably just a personal annoyance.

So, I'm kind of starting to get annoyed with the lack of detail. There have been a few action scenes. I do not want to give away what happens but the conversation seems forced and the action rushed and incomplete. Ciaran just found his love in a "state" and instead of showing concern just said something along the lines of how she is a fighter.....not a natural/honest reaction that someone would have.

So, Madeline and Ciaran are starting to develop feelings for each other but the progression of it seems much too fast and not natural. Also, the way he casually brings up that he could have violated her yet she stayed wasn't necessary. It isn't a casual subject to just bring up. I wish the little blue lights/balls that Madeline sees would be properly explained as well as the random visions she has....

So far I'm really enjoying what I've read. I'm not to sure on the relationship aspect yet but I'm holding out that it will be more than a lustful attraction. I'm also not to sure on the whole kidnapping thing....the reasoning seems kind of dumb right now...I hope more is explained later on.

I just finished the prologue and I'm already hooked wanting to know what happens next....I mean come on you dead angels and a baby left in the bushes...why is this piece of jade so important???????? I NEED ANSWERS LOL

I haven't read the first book in the series and when I first received it to read I was a bit worried that I wouldn't know what was going on. I'm loving it so far. I have a good idea who I think the Alchemist is but I'm not positive yet.

So, I started this a little while ago but didn't actually really start reading it till last night. I can't believe I'm already over halfway through the book

So far I have been able to see the streets and smell the waste in sewers and as its dumped from the chamber pots. I can see the clothing the characters are wearing and when they are sneaking and running feel their beating hearts....

I love it <3

I like the story line so far but its weird when in the same chapter let alone paragraph it goes from 1st to 3rd person and the over description of certain things strikes me as odd.

So far I like the idea behind the book but there seems to be a focus on unnecessary detail
