Slow start, interesting premise

Man, I love this series.

This one is a bit of a wrestle. I don’t care about train lines this much

So far, I’m not seeing what everyone else is seeing.
This seems like an averagely-written, exposition dump start but I’m hopeful the 5 star reviews are right

Not sure where this is going yet.
Doesn’t feel quite like Rodda’s usual but not in a bad way.

Present tense fantasy is not a vibe.

Currently hating it.
Another fantasy where I desperately want the main couple to die.

Morrigan is so petty and it’s everything.

She’s an icon and she is the moment.

Average start.
Normally love this author but not into it yet.

I thought that Feyre and Rhys being side characters would make them better but they’re somehow worse.
Feyre’s character is paper thin and Rhys’s only moods are horny or/and angry.

Nesta is growing on me.
Cassian is growing away from me. I like him less with each chapter.

The plot so far is… ehhh

I hate this book.
The arguments are repetitive and essentially boil down to:
Major Character (MC): please help us with the war.
Lesser character (LC): No, because a girl had sex with someone other than me.
MC: Don’t be dumb
LC: No, wh*re
MC: imma kill you

Character writing 5/5 ⭐️
