If you’ve corrected a guest because you don’t want them to think you’ve made a mistake, you’ve made a much bigger mistake.

Let your energy impact the people you’re talking to, as opposed to the other way around.

Intention means every decision from the most, obviously significant to the seemingly mundane, matters. to do something with intentionality means to do it thoughtfully with clear purpose, and an eye on the desired result.

A guest would tell me that well most people save the best bottles of wine in their cellars for celebrations. He drinks his best bottles on his worst days.

How do you make the people who work for you and the people you serve feel seen and valued? How do you give them a sense of belonging? How do you make them feel part of something bigger than themselves? How do you make them feel welcome?

Well, it may be impossible to quantify in financial terms the impact of making someone feel good, don’t think for a second that it doesn’t matter. In fact, it matters more.

This series is entertaining and stimulating. I’m still ready for a plot twist!

It took me several pages to adapt to her writing style. But I’m captured and excited to keep reading! She almost writes how good friends talk.

This book is written a little bit like a collection of short stories. I’m not typically a fan of short stories. I’ve decided to put it on hold for now. Not sure if/when I’ll come back to it. The first half of the book certainly did spark some interesting thoughts around the war and my husband and I chatted about them. Largest takeaway is the majority of Iranians don’t want us there.

Your baby will loose her ability to tell you what she wants if you don’t learn to tune in to what her different cries mean. They will all start to merge into one big ‘pay attention’ cry.

...at some point, believe it or not, your baby will sleep through the night. For now, though, you must lower your expectations. You’ll have good days and not so good days; be prepared for both. Don’t strive for perfection.

Those first 100 pages were easy to read! I often start books without reading the inside flap or the back of the book, so it takes me a while to figure out where I am. I’d say about 100 pages and a quick read of the inside cover has me on track. I’m very intrigued to see how it all unfolds!
