Books about writers just have never really vibed with me. Seeing if it gets better ....

It's good. They're sure waxing poetic about memories. I guess that's the whole theme. Haha.

I prefer books where the author shows us that someone is a good person or builds their allure subtly, instead of just telling us they are good or hot. XD just a side note haha

Finally getting to the point where it starts to pick up!

Oh man this really flopped! Lamest first date ever (touring his old neighborhood and school) and now doing a NYC itinerary? Snoozefest!

I really like the writing! Very amusing.

It's fine. Interesting enough to want to know where it will end, but also probably wouldn't recommend it overall. Every new chapter feels like an abrupt scene change, just when I feel more invested in wanting to know what happens next in a certain moment, it's abandoned. Also I'm confusing some of the characters because names like Mike and Chris really aren't memorable or different enough, no offense!

I'm not very far but I loved the author's note in the beginning!

I'm so confused about who is on what side and what places are where.

Ugh. Is this gonna get better or what? The FMC is miserable. Not promising.

Good so far, but the male narrator on the audiobook is absolutely horrible to listen to! I'll have to read bastian's chapters in the ebook.

Reeeaalllly slowed down and becoming predictable.

It has grabbed my attention so we'll see. It seems like this book has done things better than other romantasy books I've tried lately (ahem: acotar) even though many elements are similar (fae, shadow daddies). I love that they ride sabrecats.

Harriet is such a refreshing FMC! Just a nice person. Excited to read (listen) more! Also, the audio book is much more captivating for me compared to reading it. Love the dual narration. 💖

This is 💗 so cute, I could have stayed up all night to finish it! Also so much more interesting than her last book.

This book is stunning! Very well crafted with beautiful prose. The story is a perfect escape, and the world building is enchanting. It has some predictability, but some surprise too. I don't think you'll expect the direction the story takes.

Listening to the audiobook is a bonus because I like hearing the pronunciation of the Chinese names.
