I can’t remember measles being such a big deal, certainly no children being hospitalised. The bonus was two weeks of school for all but whooping cough which was six. I got it over one summer holiday.
The only one that hit our family was mumps, I caught it and shared it with my parents and sister. I can remember going into the main bedroom with all three laid up while I was on the mend. My parents suffering.

Passed the halfway mark, think Goodreads has the number of pages wrong for this edition, and exhausted. Last book we were waiting for something to happen, not with this one!!
