Oooof, the recounting of severe postpartum depression and its aftermath is a hard bit to read. Good! And well written! Just a bit more real and raw than usually had in these kinds of historical romances.

Not loving this installment, but I do appreciate that Hannah is FINALLY seeing how much of a dirt bag Mike is. Pond scum, toe fungus, pile of nail clippings. Hopefully the book ends with his disgrace and departure from town.

Ditch the dope, Hannah! Mike is cold garbage.
