I feel like I need to read the actual classic versions of these books.

She’s so nosy I love her

Got a full 2 sentences in the book before having to look at the glossary 😌 some would say im fluent

She just ran around the room while I read. Who am I reading this for? (hint: me)

I’m actually like 3-4 pages away from being done. After this, I have another 2 level 1 readers.

I only read like 1-2 pages with her but we just finished chapter 2!!!

I feel like I should read the full book to my kids. This is cute.

At this point I feel like I’m skimming it a bit but I’m trying to read every character so it takes lo Ng er 😭 this seems like a really good book though.

The book is only 56 pages. I’m on page 30 but technically it seems like less bc there’s a big glossary in the back. But anyway, definitely getting a little slower reading this. It’s such a brain exercise 😭 learning languages is hard.

Learning mandarin so I can pass it down to my daughter. Reading at an elementary level but it’s kind of cool that I can follow along. The characters are definitely super simple.

Also I’ve never read Secret Garden before so it’s kind of funny to read it with simplified vocabulary because at one point (early on), it’s like everyone gets sick and dies. Then I google it and it turns out it’s cholera.

This is hard but good for my brain!!

I’m really enjoying the puzzles. It’s teaching you how to do them so it’s about one puzzle every few pages.

The immersive reading is a lot more graphic/gory than just reading/audiobook. I’m genuinely grimacing at the violence now. There’s squishing sounds 🫣

Listening to the immersion sound booth theater version. Never did the audiobooks for the first 7 so exciting to see what the experience is like!

Finished the Carl part of the story. Now at the interludes. Man, it’s a doozy

I’m stuck on the last puzzle. Time to ignore this for another 6 months

We’ve discovered that we can just wear AirPods in the car so baby doesn’t have to hear it.

I wonder what my next puzzle book will be

There’s a lot of cursing but it might just be we notice it more because we play it in our car with our speaking daughter.

I’m just estimating. Listening to the sound booth theater version with Omar (and Ayah). She knows Dungeon Crawler Carl. Hoping she doesn’t pick up the bad words :/ but it’s a really good story so. It’s hard trying to raise a literary queen

Okay just took note of all the characters introduced. Usually Holly Jackson is a good author about not doing some left field plot twist and has foreshadowing. There will be a twist though.

The premise sound really interesting. Just met so many characters and I’m 12 pages in. Excited to watch it unfold.
