At this point I feel like I’m skimming it a bit but I’m trying to read every character so it takes lo Ng er 😭 this seems like a really good book though.

The book is only 56 pages. I’m on page 30 but technically it seems like less bc there’s a big glossary in the back. But anyway, definitely getting a little slower reading this. It’s such a brain exercise 😭 learning languages is hard.

Learning mandarin so I can pass it down to my daughter. Reading at an elementary level but it’s kind of cool that I can follow along. The characters are definitely super simple.
Also I’ve never read Secret Garden before so it’s kind of funny to read it with simplified vocabulary because at one point (early on), it’s like everyone gets sick and dies. Then I google it and it turns out it’s cholera.
