Listening to this audiobook is very difficult. The abuse David and his family of origin suffered at the hands of his father in the name of the LDS church is horrific and is not consistent with the church's doctrine. It makes my heart hurt that someone weaponized the church so they could control and command the people they are supposed to love and to nurture.
