uhhhh ive fallen off the tracking wagon but ive been reading hella books

anyway i love miriam toews shes gr8 this book is gr8 wowoOooOwoooOowoo

the books ive been reading lately are by no means literary masterpieces but theyre entertaining as fuck. im all about light easy novels that keep me reading when i dont have the attention span for the books i truly enjoy.

hahahahahaha Thien writes Vancouver very well.

i picked this up thinking id be stories by canadian writers.

but uh. so far its more short snippets of canadian history. im not here to read about land surveyors or the struggle to define the canada/us border.

i love you michael ondaatje but. nope.

i dont want to put it down!

this is the third time ive taken Americanah out from the library and im finally going to finish it. (not completing it has more to say about my time management skills than my interest in the novel) (time management skills: non existent) (book: v v compelling)

so engrossing. i have things to do but i can't stop reading.

i don't like giving up on books but i might have to here

i read hamid's the reluctant fundamentalist seven years ago. this novel is very different in comparison. the second person narrative was strange at first but i got used to it easily. the story moves quickly, thanks to the prose (which would almost be sparse if not so precise)

digging it so far.

I loved Miriam Toews when I was 15 and I still love her. Maybe more now. She knows how to make a girl FEEEEEEL.
