This lady is a real wuss for a CIA agent. Especially for 28. Her incompetence makes it seem like she's in with the hitmen.

I'm enjoying this way more than I thought I would. It goes along at a great pace. You could jump in at any point in this series and be up to speed in a few pages.

I feel like starting off a chapter about a guy who left Major League Baseball and its millions of dollars to pursue writing stories is not realistic for most artists. He's got so much publicity from just that one thing, he's already got a leg up on everyone else who isn't also an almost celebrity at a sport

I love this book. The writing style is so different from today. I love that there is a middle aged protagonist who is down on her luck, but she's finally catching a break. Life opens up to her and she's happy and not starving.

So it has been centuries, and the cardboard cutout living with a still alive Dracula hasn't grown a backbone this entire time? You'll enjoy this if you liked Twilight and don't mind reading an entire book from the point of view of someone who barely exists and doesn't have a personality.

Also, this needed an editor.

“Are they…” Rita’s eyes were glued to the scene as she turned to Tom.

So, is she looking at the scene, where her eyes are glued to, or at her husband, who she turned to? If it's such an amazing sight, why would she turn away from it?

Maybe it would've been better to write it as: "Are they..." Rita's eyes were glued to the scene as she stood next to Tom.
