Slogging my way through.

Reading in between the book club book and another book I started and there's no time to read it all.

Had to put aside for my book club drudgery read.

I'm a little over 50% finished. Drudgery.

Going to reread them all in chronological order

Just started.

I just finished One Second After and gave it 3 stars.

I just finished Leaving Time (with bonus novella Larger Than Life): A Novel and gave it 3 stars.

I just finished Radiant Angel (John Corey Book 7) and gave it 5 stars. Classic DeMille. Smarmy John Corey breaking the rules and saving the day.

I just finished My Sunshine Away and gave it 3 stars. It is the story, told by the main character, of his life growing up in Baton Rouge in the '70s and 80's. It is the story of his obsession with Lindsay and trying to get her to love him back. It is typical coming of age stuff, wrapped around a pivotal incident during childhood. But the author hits the reader over the head with important lesson

I just finished We Are Called to Rise: A Novel and gave it 4 stars.

I just finished The Book of Unknown Americans: A novel and gave it 4 stars.

I just finished Everything I Never Told You: A Novel and gave it 4 stars.This is a book about a biracial family in the late 1950s and the problems they faced not only from society, but within their own family. It is also a story about silence and the irreparable harm it causes within the human soul and psyche. Lydia is dead, the book begins. The rest of the book is about unraveling who and why.

How will I ever get through this...this...flat, pretentious drivel?

Self-serving, as all memoirs are, yet interesting, nevertheless. There are only so many pats on the back one can read in one sitting.

Written very crudely; not worth my time, so I stopped.
