It really bothers me that the paper the MC keeps in her car to do grave rubbings has been described as rice paper twice and butcher paper once. Those are not the same thing.

Did not expect to be gagged like this.

So this is one of those books where the thing in the synopsis doesn't happen until pretty far in. . . I wish they would not do that.

Their friend is going to become “the biggest thing since Emeril,” which feels like damning with faint praise considering I last discussed Emeril with someone using ICQ on a dialup connection!..

My experience with the book has improved, despite the pretty intense animal deaths.

I am not actually enjoying this. A normal, sane, balanced person would DNF it. However, I sense we are going to uncover something big soon? I feel like we are hearing a lot of "anecdotes," and my hope is that the voice will grow up as Betty does.
