I honestly did not know this was a book. Beware Men Writing Women content.

I feel like this book is a Get Real moment for me as far as how much I think I can read in a day vs how much I really can, at least when not as highly enticed by the plot.

This is so boring. Whyyyyyyy is this 4-500 pages????

This is, so far, one of the most cliche things I have ever read. I feel the need to find out what this author is about. So I read on, beating against the current, ceaselessly into this book.

This book is wild.

I think I clocked the thing about Bitsy the second she arrived, but the story is still enjoyable. It feels like this author did her research--we've clocked Revlon Fire & Ice and Cherries In The Snow. My grandma got china with stamps and called the couch a davenport. I guess my grandma was more like the MC's mother tbh. She got to stay on the farm and be independent.

This wooden item kind of reminds me of this girl from school who told me her grandmother showed her a painting in the attic of her “renaissance aunt” that “looked just like her.”

This is getting dangerous. . . I started reading a particular scene in To Paradise again. . . and it feels so good. 😅 I CANNOT read this 700+ page book a THIRD TIME in barely over 365 days! . . .

Thought: I wonder if authors are going to get a rash of annoying out of the blue letters now.

Counter thought: One of my closest friends of the past decade is an author I annoyed by writing out of the blue…

I think a sane, normal, balanced person would DNF this.

I honestly have no idea why I can’t put this down.
