The funny thing about this book is that the narrator is unreliable but I don't think the author intended that.

Unfortunately I think I will have to abandon this book as well as it is so tropie and the writing is so over-wrought. Also, the dialect is silly and the author didn't research the region well (and I haven't even been to these places!). Reviews imply the first half is the best and I'm hating it.

A good 20 hours into the audio book and the plot still hasn't appeared. This author is ridiculous.

This is such a boring book so far. Just lots of random conversations, vignettes about what they ate or mending clothes.

Back in chapter one I thought about returning this book as I had a bad feeling about it. Then I thought -well I only paid $6. It didn't get better.

This book is a rather cheezy thriller so far. Rather throw-back in the flat characters and cringy descriptions.

So far the book has just been conversations and often on the same topic just different combinations of people. Very bored.

I suppose it's good that this book was given to me as a gift as I feel compelled to finish it, but I'm not really enjoying it.

This book is so gothic. I adore it so far.

This is my first full-length Butler book and I'm a bit unsure of it. Not sure the world set-up makes sense and it appears to be about a girl developing her own religion, which isn't particularly interesting.

The writing style reminds me the most of Fifth Season.

Not sure how much I'm liking this book. It's kinda boring to me so far.
