This is my first full-length Butler book and I'm a bit unsure of it. Not sure the world set-up makes sense and it appears to be about a girl developing her own religion, which isn't particularly interesting.

I have an odd relationship with Octavia Butler. Something about her prose makes her books "slow" reading for me, but in the end, I do love the stories.
