A Cosmopolite In A Café - ands brilliantly. A tour of airs, and a whopping finale. Though truly, it may be down to my opinion of folks with airs.

The Gift of the Magi is probably the most well known O. Henry story, and one of my favourites. Definitely forgot that Della believes herself to be “owned” by her husband. I know I have a lot of this stuff coming up, but it has been long enough since I’ve read any of these that I’m starting to realize my brain is in a VERY different place than it used to be. Still a master storyteller just. Yeah.

Hew boy, I forgot that first story just loads up on the racial slurs. Yeah yeah “the times” but wow oh wow a person could toss around some bold language in what appears to be a pretty genial story about searching for your lost love. (Tobin’s Palm)

The goal is to dig through this treasure trove, one story a night, until completion.

Let’s see if I can actually finish any projects I start, yeah?

Making the trip back to Good Reads as I once again work at a book store, and have the spare time to read every now and then. :)

So excited to be finally reading this book. Paul Cornell has written some of my favourite comics, and episodes of Doctor Who, and so far, the book is great. Just arrived at the "meaty" part, after the "getting the team together" part.
