Let me tell y'all something. Octavia Butler is crazy. These are the most alien aliens I have ever encountered. I have never felt helpless reading a book - things are happening to the main character and no one can help her. I'm having trouble reconciling that. I literally took a break from reading. I can only digest the chapters in small doses. I'm only continuing to see what happens lol
