I’m halfway through the audiobook for this, I’m already obsessed and had to hunt down a used copy of the hardcover because I want it for my library and apparently it’s out of print in hardcover and obscure enough to not get a hardback reprint.

Oh dear, this is not starting well. The FMC is obnoxious.

I’m at 50% and really debating giving this up. I’m just bored..

0 stars DNF after 2 chapters, everything about the writing is unpleasant.

Looking for extremely fluffy and happy recommendations. Had to put my kitty down today after 16 years with him, this comes on top of having to put my doggo down earlier in the year.

Small weird details that don’t add up bother me. Case in point: a Vegas casino closing at 2am in nonsense.

Probably a DNF, the writing and I are not jiving. It’s pretty amateur feeling, like a first draft wattpad.

Fun fat, for about a year I was the attorney for both the professional men and women’s football club in my state. The women’s team is nationally ranked and full of bad assess, that being said I know what these ladies make in professional soccer and it’s not a lot. The fact that Vera thinks she makes a lot of money is probably one of the most fantastical elements of this book.

I’m sorry, I thought I was reading an anthology set in the 80s. Why the hell are characters calling books “spicy” mentioning “BFFs”, “toxic relationships” and “jazz hands”. 😤

I feel old. How old is the person writing this short? Get your lingo right. This shit ain’t 80s and I’m saying that as someone born in the last year of the 80s.

Idk if a man, woman, or they wrote this (and with a quality pen name like “bj man” who can really tell?) But what I do know is that this person doesn’t know how vaginas work, and it’s pretty hilarious. Unintentionally I assume, but still.
