Moving the concepts involved in stages is clever, ensuring the story does not stagnate nor become too repetitive.
Can this be kept up for the finale?

The forewords regarding the authors are by necessity brief but exquisitely written.
A fifth of the way through, I hope the quality holds for the rest of the stories.

First story is an excellent one, well worthy of a movies adaptation.
The second is very short but has an amusing vignette quality to it.

The first novella (book 1) of the novel covers the immediate impact of a highly personalised spear phishing attack (whaling) on the C levels directly involved.
This is a story about a lateral attack; the initial victim is not the high value target the attackers have in their sights but a stepping stone to the real information and plunder.
As an InfoSec professional this comes over as plausible and realistic.
